Amy Chan, Private Events & Café Catering Sales Manager, will help you curate the perfect event. Her love of party planning and 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry is an asset to all her clients. Amy's role includes planning a wide range of events, and she specializes in weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings at Café NOMA.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Amy grew up in a restaurant, Chan's Far East. Her parents emigrated in the late 1950s and opened the first Chinese restaurant on the West Bank in the 1970s. Amy's passion for the hospitality industry began as she was peeling shrimp and rolling egg rolls as a child. She even said as a child that she wanted to be a wedding planner when she grew up.
Prior to joining the Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group team in 2022, Amy worked at Vosges Haut-Chocolat in Chicago from 2006-2008. She made her way back to New Orleans to work for Sucre for 3 years, followed by Dinner Lab as the Director of Operations. During her Dinner Lab tenure, Amy opened branches in 20 cities around the country, planning upscale events and working with high end clients. Thereafter, Amy ran events and was the General Manager for Pythian Market, Catering Manager at Bacchanal, and General Manager at Auction House Market.
Amy's creative drive and diligent work ethic have provided her with cherished event planning memories for recognizable clients. Amy was on the catering team for Solange Knowles wedding, planned an album release party for Mac Miller, planned a dinner for celebrity chef, Anthony Bourdain, and planned a dinner at the James Beard Foundation house.
Beyond her professional career, Amy is married to her husband, Rafa. She enjoys trying new restaurants, relaxing at the beach, and laying on her sofa with her cuddly dog, Stanley.
